The armature is Vacuum Pressure Impregnated (VPI) in 100% solventless epoxy resin. This process fills the voids in the winding and lamination areas and provides a protective coating from moisture and contamination. It also improves the cooling characteristics of the motor and reduces coil vibration. Following this process the epoxy will be cured in one of our temperature controlled bake ovens.
