dahl-beck electric not only repairs motors, generators and pumps, but we're also a full service marine electrical contractor. In fact, this is how we made a name for ourselves over 80 years ago on the wooden piers of the San Francisco waterfront.

Before local politics drove the Navy's Pacific Fleet from the San Francisco Bay waters in the late 1980's we played an integral roll in the fleet's electrical maintenance. Some of the maritime industries most formidable years were during wartime (World War II, Korean, Vietnam) when the San Francisco Bay and various ports were teaming with activity. Things have settled down a lot since those days, but we continue to service the many container and tanker vessels that call on the ports of Oakland, San Francisco, Richmond and the other smaller ports up and down the bay.

We also continue to play an active roll in the ongoing maintenance and upgrades of the local Ready Reserve Force (RRF). This is the fleet of Maritime Administration (MARAD) cargo ships used to provide prompt sealift support in the event they are needed for the rapid deployment of military forces. The RRF must be ready to depart on short notice (typically 4 to 5 days) to backup the actions of the battle group. Many of these same reserve vessels saw action in the Desert Storm, Desert Shield & Operation Iraqi Freedom conflicts.

Today we continue to have an experienced group of marine electricians ready to come aboard to troubleshoot and repair your crane controls, tension winches, motor control centers and lighting systems. Not only do we routinely perform repairs onboard vessels, but also remain shore side and repair the crane motors that move the 20 & 40 ft. containers on and off these ships. These Hoist, Trolley, Boom & Gantry motors make these giant cranes come alive and operate with unbelievable precision and control.

We also work closely with Bubenzer Bremsen America LLC in repairing the EMG Thrusters mounted to these crane braking systems. We stock the rebuild kits for the complete line of Electro-Hydraulic Thruster ELDRO and in most cases can repair your thruster and have it back to you in a day or so.
